ARBOR MORTGAGES
Mortgages for High Rise Flats
Are you purchasing a flat in a high rise building?
Perhaps an ex-council or right-to-buy flat?
Many lenders do not lend on these, specially flats in buildings
over 4 storeys.
However, there are lenders who will lend. Some of the factors that
they take into consideration are:
- Location of property
- Total number of storeys in the building
- The floor on wich the property to be purchased is situated
- Total number of flats in the building
- The proportion that are privately owned
- Type of construction of the building
- Does the flat have a deck entrance (ie is the entrance via
a common balcony visible from the outside)?
- History of the particular estate (drugs)
- Valuer's comments
Given these complexities, you may wish to seek the
assistance of a qualified mortgage
adviser who will find lenders that will lend on your particular property.
THINK CAREFULLY BEFORE SECURING OTHER DEBTS AGAINST YOUR HOME.
YOUR HOME MAY BE REPOSSESSED IF YOU DO NOT KEEP UP REPAYMENTS
ON YOUR MORTGAGE. CHANGES IN THE EXCHANGE RATE MAY INCREASE
THE STERLING EQUIVALENT OF YOUR DEBT.
